1  \  U of L Counseling Center

The Counseling Center is a great resource for all students at Lynchburg to take advantage of. Whether you're dealing with sport related, personal or school issues, the Counseling Center provides students with licensed mental health therapists, completely free of cost. Students may visit the Counseling Center for relationship problems, sports anxiety, adjusting to college, alcohol/drug abuse, feeling isolated or depressed, etc. Information is completely confidental.

Just like the Counseling Center, the U of L Health Center is another great resource to find help on campus. Nurse practitioners and RNs are available for a variety of services such as lab testing, women's health, allergy testing, etc. In regards to medication, whether mental health related or not, the Health Center can help students connect with local doctors and physicians to gain access to such necessities.

If your spirituality is something you value when dealing with mental health, the Spiritual Life Center at the University of Lynchburg can offer help. Even if you aren't spiritual, the Spiritual Life Center can offer just another friendly face to talk too about anything going on in your life, regardless of your faith.

TalkSpace is mobile app and company that gets you matched with licensed therapists via text, audio and video that are in your state. You tell them your preferences through a quick assessment, and they get you matched! Easy as that.

Headspace is a mobile app that helps its users practice mindful exercises in their day to day life. Its a great resource for managing stress, relaxation, and rest. Features like meditation, breathing exercises help combat anxious mindsets.

Happify

Sanvello

Happify is a mobile app with science-based games that help cope with negative thoughts, stress and other anxieties. The games use positive psychology and cognitive behavioral therapy to achieve goals.

Sanvello is a mobile app that acts as a tool kit for navigating feelings of loneliness, depression and overwhelmed. The app tracks your progress overtime and as patterns developed, the app provides customized help specific to you.

Thriveworks Counseling Lynchburg offers membership based counseling based directly on the client's needs. They offer in-person or online counseling as well as same day appointments. They have text, email and phone support as well as video courses for guidance.

Wyndhurst Counseling Center in-person or online counseling for a variety of situations such as depression, anxiety, addiction, etc. They have numerous licensed therapists to find the right fit for you. They also offer workshops for those who may benefit from them.
